At Haiti Empowered, we believe that improving infrastructure is key to creating lasting change in the villages we serve. Through these Special Projects, we are able to lay a strong foundation for sustainable growth, education, and community development.

Whether it's building churches where people can worship and celebrate, securing land for our schools, or expanding educational opportunities through trade school programs, every project we undertake contributes to building a better future for the Haitian people.

As funds are available, we will complete projects that will make a difference in their day-to-day life.

Giving Initiatives

  • Old High School Renovation

    Goal: $20,000 | Timeline: 1 Year
    Our former high school building will be transformed into an addition to our trade school. This space will allow us to offer classes in a wide range of skills, including mechanical repair and poultry farming. Renovations are necessary to make this vision a reality—this includes installing windows for ventilation, lighting, and rearranging walls to create ideal learning spaces. Your support will help us give students the tools they need to succeed in life.

  • Classroom Additions

    Goal: $18,000 for the building, $19,000 to support that class for a year | Timeline: 1-3 Years
    With three schools ready to expand, we are looking to add additional classrooms to serve more students. Each new classroom can accommodate 35 students and provide employment for an additional teacher. By adding a total of nine classrooms, we can give 315 more students the opportunity to learn and grow. Your contribution will help us provide brighter futures to children who would otherwise not have access to education.

  • Baussan Church Construction

    Goal: $57,000 | Timeline: 2 Years
    Currently, the community surrounding Baussan holds services under a large tree and in classrooms, but they have outgrown these spaces. In Haiti, having a dedicated church building is a powerful symbol of faith and community. By building a church, we will give the people of Baussan a safe, permanent place to worship and gather—no longer at the mercy of the elements. This new church will also serve as a venue for community celebrations, weddings, and other important events.

  • Enclose School Properties

    Goal: $30,000 per property | Timeline: 2-3 Years
    To ensure the safety and security of our students, we need to enclose the properties of our schools. The properties in Cassange, Baussan, and Lompre are currently at risk due to their proximity to busy roads and the potential threat of squatters. A cement block fence will secure our land, ensuring students are safe and able to learn without distraction. Your gift will directly help keep our students and facilities protected.

  • Purchase Land for Lomprey School

    Goal: $40,000 | Timeline: 3 Years
    Currently, our Lomprey school operates on rented land. To create a more stable and sustainable future for this school, we need to purchase the land. Owning the property will allow us to build without the concern of rent hikes or losing our space. With your help, we can ensure that this school remains a safe and reliable place for our students to learn for years to come.
