Child Sponsorships
With over 2,500 students across nine schools, we are committed to empowering Haitian children to break the cycle of poverty and spark lasting, generational change.
Through our Child Sponsorship program, you have the unique opportunity to build a personal connection with a student—helping to shape their future while transforming their community. Your sponsorship provides more than just an education—it ensures they receive nutritious meals, vital healthcare, and the support they need to thrive.
Join us in making a real, lasting impact. Sponsor a child today.
Our Child Sponsorship program provides each student with education, daily meals, and free medical care. This program allows you to have a personal connection with a child in Haiti!
Sponsor Engagement
New sponsorships are provided with a welcome packet about each child sponsored.
Updates on children such as pictures and profile updates are scheduled at regular intervals. View our Media page and follow us on Social Media for new photos and videos.
The best way to get updates is to send a letter to your child! Our Media team in Haiti has a schedule for driving to each school to deliver letters and get responses back for you.
Bless your child by sending them additional monetary gifts, up to $25 per month. We kindly request that these gifts be made online (through your giving account) or by check. Please refrain from sending cash or physical gifts, as we are unable to deliver these to Haiti.
Class Enrollment
Each spring we enroll new students to start the school program! The school year typically occurs from September-June.
We take attendance regularly to determine if any children have discontinued their education with us, typically due to causes such as relocation or illness.
Each year, the class lists are validated and clothing/book stipends are hand-delivered to each student.
Child updates, including graduation to the next grade, are made in our system to best track each student’s progress. Standardized tests are taken in 5th, 9th, and 13th grades.
Helpful Letter Tips
Our preferred method for sending letters and pictures to your sponsor child is via your member login page, as this will allow for a quicker response.
You can also send letters and pictures into our office:
@ PO Box 1460 Fitchburg MA 01420. These will be scanned and emailed to your child.
Many of the children are shy about a relationship with someone from a different country. However, they will typically open up as communication continues. To help this process, you might want to include something personal about your family and ask questions that are more specific.
Questions like “What is something you like to do when you get home?”, “What is your favorite subject?”, “What makes you happy”, and “What is your favorite celebration?” will get a better response than simply “How are you?”.
The process for getting your letter to your sponsor child includes the following steps: sending the letter to Haiti, translating the letter into Creole, delivering it to the correct school, setting up a time for the child to write back, translating their response, and sending their response back to the US. Since this process is relatively extensive, please allow 4-8 weeks to receive a response from your sponsor child!
