School Year in Review (2023-2024)

Safety and Security - A positive environment is so important for learning. Despite some of the worst unrest in many years, we had one of our safest years. Not one day of school was missed. The Leogane area is becoming an attractive place to come to.

Roland is our head of security and has been in that role since the beginning, 17 years ago. He is beloved by the parents and staff. He had a strong desire to continue to grow and serve well.

Growth - Each new student represents a life that is eager for opportunity and care. We added hundreds of high school students, with the addition of the new school. Over 230 children were added to our schools which is 10% growth. This resulted in over 650,000 days of meals and over 3,000 clinic visits.

Inflation rates varied from 30% - 100% and higher but we still expanded, meeting as many needs as possible.

Expansion of programs - We added a comprehensive professional school program and facility. Over 300 students have now been trained in practical skills they can utilize. We also added a soccer league, with supplies provided by sponsors. This positively impacts team building, morale and the community.

The churches expanded bible classes and hosted graduation ceremonies.

Job Creation - Providing jobs and a way to better support families is one result of our programs. We employ over 150 people in Haiti. Due to our projects this year, we provided additional desirable work for over 150 people. Some of those jobs became permanent and taught new skills.

Haiti Empowered - Our name and energy address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Haitians. We worked with each student and parent to bring hope and encouragement, as we equipped them. We met needs that allowed Haitians to go from surviving to thriving.
