Hello my name is Jean Roody Marcelus; I live in Kasany (Cassange) and went to a Haiti Empowered school. I like to farm very much. It has become a passion for me. I want to say thank you to all the staff of Haiti Empowered because I would not be successful if not for them. I learned so much and gained hope for what could be accomplished. The farm helps me a lot, giving me hope as I sell some and provide the rest to my family.

I am a professional in gardening and want to provide everything on our plates (potatoes, corn, beans and kale) The ones just sprouting are potatoes and the corn is small now but will grow tall. I hope that God will give me a good harvest as He protects the garden. The harvest will make me useful to my family and village.

As I become a professional in my field, I will be very helpful to my whole family and help my country move forward.

You gave me the education and hope to dream in school. I am very thankful and happy now.
